GETTING TO LANEWAY

Public Transport is included in your event tickets!

All Perth Laneway Festival tickets include public transport for all Transperth services for three hours before, during and after the event until end of service.

Information regarding the special event transport services can be obtained by contacting the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 or by visiting the Transperth website at www.transperth.wa.gov.au

Festival Ticket Holders do not need to pay for any Transperth services within these times, simply have your event ticket available to show Transperth staff.

Transperth services

Catch the train to Claisebrook Station on the Midland, Armadale, Airport & Ellenbrook lines. From Claisebrook Station it's an 8 minute walk (700 metres) to the Festival Entrance on Wittenoom Street. Plan your journey here: https://www.transperth.wa.gov.au/Journey-Planner

Bike

Bike parking is available outside the festival entrance, BYO bike lock.

Taxi & Rideshare Drop Off

There will be a pick up and drop off facility for Taxi and Rideshare located at CPP Royal Street, access off Royal Street.

Please follow the signs and directions of Traffic Controllers and Event Marshals at all times.

Road / car park closures and traffic management

There will be extensive road closures around the event, avoid getting stuck in traffic and take the train!

The following roads will be closed for the event from 12pm Sunday 16 February, to be restored 12am Monday 17 February.

• The CPP Royal Street Car Park (east end from Lime Street) will be used exclusively for the event from 6am on Sunday 16 February until 12am on Monday 17 February.

when does the event start and finish?

Gates open at 1:00pm with the event finishing at 10:30pm.

Can I leave the festival and re-enter later in the day?

No - there are no pass outs. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day.

What happens if it rains on the day?

Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.

Where do I report any lost or found articles?

Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff.

If you have misplaced something, please fill in our Lost Property form here and we will do our very best to help you.

If we are able to reunite you with your lost item we will be in touch, please provide an email address and phone number where you can be reached easily.

Please note that only the following found items will be kept for collection: Car keys, house keys, wallets, purses, ID cards, bank cards, mobile phones. Any other found items will be donated, recycled or disposed of as appropriate.

YOUTH INFORMATION

Laneway Festival is 16+ in all cities. Please read through our Perth Youth Policy to ensure you have a great day out!

Responsible Adults must fill in the responsible Adult Registration Form prior to arrival at Perth Laneway.

On arrival please go to the YOUTH 16+ & RESPONSIBLE ADULT REGISTRATION TENT to have registration checked before entering at the main entrance using the YOUTH 16 + & RESPONSIBLE ADULT entry lanes.

EVERYONE must have valid photo ID to be able to enter the event (no exceptions) this includes ALL RESPONSIBLE ADULTS regardless of their age.

food & drink

Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars.  There are plenty of free drinking water stations throughout the site – you can bring a clear, empty water bottle (that is not metal!) to fill up and stay hydrated throughout the day.We have plenty of different food options available to cater for Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, and dairy-free. All bags are searched on arrival. If you have specific food allergies or medical requirements, please complete the Accessibility Request Form.

what items are banned from site?

The following items are prohibited:
✘ Glass or breakable containers
✘ Cans or metal canisters
✘ Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles
✘ Milk or bread crates or metal cans or containers
✘ Chairs (folding, portable, camping) or any other furniture
✘ Anything studded or spiked (belts, wristbands, etc) or large chains
✘ Club patches and jackets
✘ Weapons of any kind (including potential missiles)
✘ Flares, fireworks, smoke bombs, or any other explosive device.
✘ Alcohol  
✘ Illicit drugs or paraphernalia including nangs, bongs or pipes.
✘ Vapes & E-Cigs with more than 110mL liquid (please note the venue may have specific smoking regulations and areas)
✘ Sound or video recorders or professional cameras (with removable lens)(small still cameras are allowed)
✘ Laser lights or laser pens
✘ Umbrellas (bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
✘ Water pistols
✘ Dogs or other pets (service dogs excepted)
✘ Fires and open flames of any kind
✘ Sound Systems
✘ Eskies, coolers or chilly bins
✘ Culturally insensitive items
✘ Drones
✘ Register rolls, shredded paper, confetti or other item likely to cause an environmental issue.
✘ Other items as determined by Laneway Festival, that do or can potentially cause injury or public nuisance.

What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?

No professional cameras (cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival.

Can I bring my prescription medication to the festival?

Yes, BUT the medication needs to be in its original packaging with the dispensary label matching the name on the ID of the ticket holder.

Local Resident Access Information

Local residents on Bronte, Wickham, Bennett, and Wittenoom Streets (in the Local Traffic Only areas) will still be able to enter and exit their properties and park in the areas they usually park on these streets.  Please note there is No Stopping in any parking bays on Bennett Street between Wellington Street and Wittenoom Streets (these bays will be in use by the Event). Please be aware of changes to parking in the area and follow the signage. Infringements and towing may occur.

Wellington Square Closure

Wellington Square will be completely closed for the event at 9pm on Saturday 15 February.

Bump in and out activity will take place from Monday 17 February to Wednesday 19 February.

During the bump in and out period the Stolen Generation Memorial, and the playground and community areas on the Wellington Street side of the park will remain open to the public.

Noise Management

Noise levels from the concert have been determined in accordance with guidelines established by the Department of Environmental Protection for events of this type. We will adhere to the approved Noise Management Plan for the event and requirements for safety and security. Stage and speaker layouts are designed to obtain maximum screening from buildings and topography. Noise levels during the event will be continuously monitored both inside and outside the venue.  Sounds systems will be adjusted wherever practicable to reduce noise emissions.
