YOUTH POLICY

Laneway Festival in Sydney in 2025 will be a licensed 16+ event.

So that we can provide a secure and safe environment for everyone, we are once again implementing our Youth Policy for 2025, which will form part of our Conditions of Entry.

In summary, the minimum age requirement to attend Laneway Festival in Sydney for 2025 will be 16 years of age (that is, 16 years as at the date of the event: Sunday 9 February 2025).

All patrons under the age of 18-years old MUST be accompanied and supervised, at all times, by a *responsible adult over the age of 18 years old.

A youth ticket must be purchased with an 18+ ticket, at a ratio of 1:2, that is, ONE responsible adult may supervise a maximum of TWO juveniles at the festival.

*Under NSW liquor licensing laws, a responsible adult is defined as an adult who is:

  • a parent or guardian of the minor
  • the minor's spouse or de facto partner who is over the age of 18 years
  • standing in as the parent of the minor for the time being

If a juvenile is found to be unaccompanied or unsupervised, both the juveniles and their respective responsible adult will have their tickets cancelled and will be escorted from the festival site.
