While the Northern Hemisphere has been having its brat summer, we’ve been patiently waiting, practising the Apple dance and watching as the world turned a particular shade of retina-singeing green. In February 2025 it’s our turn; Charli xcx returns to Australia and New Zealand to perform exclusively at Laneway Festival. There is so much to say about BRAT – the album that took hold of our collective consciousness, soundtracked euro summer and was co-signed by US presidential hopeful Kamala Harris. Charli xcx has given us a body of work that is at once heavy and light. With profoundly personal and fierce songwriting nestled between club-ready hits, BRAT is the antidote to modern life and the cultural palette cleanser we’ve been waiting for. The accolades are too long to list, so for now we’ll say welcome back to Laneway Festival, Charli baby x
