CONFIDENCE MAN (QLD)
Four bastard children bring you their street smart music skills, derived from a life spent grafting and crafting. Starring smooth vocals by Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, this classified musical collab between Reggie Goodchild and Clarence McGuffie is your very own self help book. Being confident has never looked sexier, or sounded sharper. Confidential, it’s a secret. Shhh.
IV LEAGUE (VIC)
Hailing from Melbourne, Lachie Gilmour and Bella Venutti combine their interests in alternative rock and progressive pop to create a style that is refreshingly their own.
Rocker turned producer, Lonelyspeck has honed his skill of electronica to carve out a strong space in the Adelaide music scene. After a number of solid releases we were gifted with the stand out All My Skin making Lonelyspeck one to watch.
GENESIS OWUSU (NSW)
18 y/o rapper Genesis Owusu is flipping the script from his bedroom in Australia’s capitol. In 2015 he was named triple j’s Unearthed High finalist for his single ‘The Day After Valentine’s Day’, and since then Genesis Owusu has been working towards preparing his debut solo release CARDRIVE EP. Filled with dark jazz and wistful soul, his fresh take on hip-hop is about to change the game.
DREAM RIMMY (WA)
Since forming in 2014, the short existence of Perth shoegazers Dream Rimmy has been eventful. Supports for The Preatures and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, ’90’s indie favourites Ash and shoegaze heroes Swervedriver, plus a slot on the State Of The Art Festival (alongside You Am I, Birds Of Tokyo and The Scientists) have been accompanied by a nomination for a West Australian Music Award for “Most Popular New Act”.
