St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland has officially sold out, with 10,000 people attending the largest festival to date on Monday, 27 January in Silo Park. 2014 will make it five years that Auckland has been home to Laneway Festival, and it’s the third time that the festival has sold out.

A boutique music festival grown from the inner city laneways of Melbourne, Laneway Festival is now found in the urban backyards of eight cities across Australia, Singapore, USA and New Zealand. Striving to produce a music festival experience like no other, Laneway continues to be a festival created by music lovers for music lovers.

Auckland Laneway Festival co-promoter Mark Kneebone says:

“Laneway has always been an awesome day for everyone involved, and we can’t wait for everyone to come down and enjoy the festival on Monday."

"On Monday, Laneway goers will find themselves enjoying a unique programme of acts from all corners of the world from the likes of Jamie xx, Earl Sweatshirt, Savages, CHVRCHES, Literal Fuck and much more."

”We are really happy to be bringing a fresh, exciting line-up of emerging artists to Auckland and the numbers this year are a great reaction to what Laneway is all about,” says Kneebone.

“This year we are really happy to see 30% of ticket sales from out of Auckland; Laneway is looking at ways to grow the festival further over the coming years with this demand.”

Two days after Laneway, Lorde will play her only summer show on the festival site; promoters are encouraging fans to purchase tickets to the show as they are expected to sell out.
