GATE OPEN TIME 

Gates for Melbourne Laneway Festival will open at 11.30am.

Before you come to site make sure you can access your ticket via the Ticketek app, or through the link on your mobile (no need to print it!) so you can get into the festival quicker and avoid queues.

Laneway is cashless so come prepared. 

GETTING TO LANEWAY

Public Transport

 We recommend catching public transport to the event, there is no dedicated parking available at Flemington Racecourse. 

The following dedicated train services will be operating to Flemington Station: 

To the Festival (From Flinders St to Flemington)

  • From 11:15am – 10 minute service
  • From 2:15pm – 20 minute service
  • At 3:55pm Last service to leave Flinders Street 

 From the Festival (From Flemington to Flinders Street)

  • From 8:00pm – 20 minute service
  • From 10:00pm – 15 minute service
  • From 11:00pm – 10 minute services – leaving from Platform 1 & 2 at Flemington
  • At 00:30am – Last service to leave Flemington

Services to the festival will start from Flinders Street (Platform 10), stopping at Southern Cross (Platform 14), North Melbourne (Platform 6) then express into Flemington (Platform 1)

Services from the festival will start from Flemington Racecourse (platform 1) up to 11:00pm then Platform 1 & 2 from 11:00pm to 00:30am, stopping at North Melbourne (Platform 5), Southern Cross (Platform 13) and then Flinders Street Station (Platform 10).

Buses and trams are also an option.

RIDESHARE / DROP-OFF POINT

Rideshare Drop-off Point is Epsom Rd, Members Drive. Rideshare Collection Point is Epsom Rd, Exit via Flemington Drive.

Youth 16+ Patron Information 

Before The Festival: familiarise yourself with the Laneway Youth Policy before you arrive on event day. All festival patrons U18 will need to be accompanied by a Responsible Adult or Guardian and will need to enter the festival and remain supervised by them throughout the entire event. 

At The Festival: We ask that Youth 16+ Patrons make themselves familiar with the following facilities to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable day. 

Crowd Care are located at the festival providing support and safety for all event patrons. 

There will be a dedicated U18 - Relax, Recharge, Rehydrate space for Youth 16+ ticket holders only. It will be a place to retreat out of the heat, with phone charging and seating available. Please refer to our map for exact locations. 

GENERAL TIPS 

Laneway Festival aims to create a culture of respect and care for one another. Please look out for yourself and others at the event. 

  • Stay with friends - allocate a buddy for the day
  • Stay connected - charge your phone at EzyCharge (see map for details) 
  • Stay hydrated - Free water available throughout the site, look for the icons on the map
  • Stay sunsmart - Wear a hat, sun protective clothing and sunscreen
