- How do I purchase a ticket?
Tickets will be available for purchase from the Ticketek website, or Ticketek App. Download the app in advance for easy access to your tickets on the day.
- How much are tickets?
Ticketing information will be released with the Laneway Festival line up announcement. Sign up to our mailing list to be the first to know.

- Is there a limit to how many tickets I can buy?
In the general onsale you can purchase up to 6 Festival tickets in the one transaction.
- I purchased multiple tickets - how do I share tickets with my friends?
You can share your tickets purchased with your friends through the Ticketek app. To use, visit the “Your Tickets” tab on the mobile app, tap on “Share” against the ticket you want to send. Follow the steps as prompted to share. Once you’ve shared a mobile ticket, your family member or friend would receive a unique link through email or SMS – depending on how you chose to share it.
They will need a Ticketek account to log-in, or to create an account, and accept the share.

- Does the name on my ticket get checked on entry?
- Ticket scalping
Ticketek is the only online authorised ticket seller for the Australian Laneway Festival.
Laneway Festival takes no responsibility for tickets purchased through unauthorised sellers/reseller facilities.
- Can I buy a ticket listed online from another source?
Do not buy tickets from an unknown source; there is no way to be sure that it is a valid ticket. We will be scanning all tickets on arrival and you will not be granted entrance if the barcode has already been scanned or your ticket has been altered.
- Are there any payment plans?
Payment can be made by Afterpay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Diners Club.
- I haven't received my confirmation email

- Do I need to create an account to purchase tickets?
To purchase tickets, you can create/sign in using a Ticketek account. It's a super quick process!
Alternatively, if you already have a Ticketek account, we suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketek account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order. - Youth & Adult Tickets
Please ensure you have read and understood the relevant Youth policy for the festival prior to purchasing your ticket to avoid disappointment on the day.
- Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?
Only if not sold out prior.
If you don't want to miss out on Laneway Festival, make sure you purchase your ticket online prior to the event.
- Can I purchase tickets at a reduced price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?
Tickets are sold at full price regardless of the time you arrive on event day.
- What happens if I lose my ticket?
Tickets purchased from a retail outlet cannot be replaced if lost, please treat them like cash. Tickets purchased via the Ticketek app or online will be available to view within your Ticketek account and cannot be lost. If you have any issues accessing your ticket, please email [email protected]

- Is Laneway Festival 18+?
St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Melbourne in 2023 is a licensed 16+ event.
So that we can provide a secure and safe environment for everyone, we are implementing our Youth Policy for 2023, which will form part of our Conditions of Entry.
The minimum age requirement to attend St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Melbourne for 2023 will be 16 years of age (that is, 16 years as at the date of the event: Saturday 11 February 2023).
All patrons under the age of 18-years old MUST be accompanied and supervised, at all times, by a parent, guardian or responsible adult over the age of 18 years old.
A youth ticket must be purchased with an 18+ ticket, at a ratio of 1:1, that is, a responsible adult may supervise a maximum of ONE minor at the festival.
If a minor is found to be unaccompanied or unsupervised at any point, both the minor and their respective responsible adult will have their tickets cancelled and will be escorted from the festival site.
All guardians / responsible adults MUST also hold a valid ticket to Laneway Melbourne 2023.
Accepted ID for 16 and 17 year olds attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Melbourne will be as follows:
1. Australian Photo Driver’s Licence or Learner’s Permit; or
2. Passport (either current or expired less than 2 years ago and has not been cancelled); or
3. KEYPASS Photo ID Card or equivalent Proof of Age Card (**see below); or
4. Australian Birth Certificate (certified copy is okay) PLUS a Current Photo ID (eg student card). We must be able to verify both your age and your photo ID, we cannot accept one without the other.
Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.
The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities (for 16 and 17 years olds, this includes trying to purchase or consuming alcohol).
** Proof of Age Card issued by an interstate government authority, such as:
NSW residents: NSW Proof of Age Card or a NSW Photo Card issued by Service NSW.
WA residents: WA Photo Card issued by WA Department of Transport.
- Is it possible to work at the festival?
Please email [email protected] if you're interested in volunteering at Laneway festival. Make sure you include a copy of your CV and all contact details including your mobile phone number.
AT THE FESTIVAL
- Will Pass Outs be available on the day?
Pass Outs refer to leaving the festival throughout the day, then returning at a later time.
There are NO Pass Outs on the day. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day.
- When do the festival gates open and close?
Gates open at 11.30am with the event finishing at 10.30pm.
- What happens if it rains on the day?
Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.
- Can I bring my own alcohol into the festival?
No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival.
- Can I go bare foot?
No, shoes are necessary - thongs and sandals are fine but we highly recommend enclosed footwear as it is a long day.
- Where do I report any lost or found articles?
Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff.
Lost: If you misplace something please check with gate staff on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please email [email protected] and we will do our very best to help you

✘ Sound or video recorders or professional cameras (with removable lens)(small still cameras are allowed)
✘ Laser lights or laser pens
✘ Umbrellas (bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
✘ Water pistols
✘ Dogs or other pets (service dogs excepted)
✘ Fires and open flames of any kind
✘ Sound Systems
✘ Eskies, coolers or chilly bins
✘ Culturally insensitive items
✘ Any other items deemed dangerous or potentially disruptive by Laneway in its discretion
- What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?
No professional cameras (read: cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival.
- Media Requests:
Applications for accreditation are open and will close 2 December. Click HERE to apply for media accreditation.
Media tickets are limited to those who can provide significant pre- and post-event coverage and we advise you to purchase a ticket if you don't want to miss out.
Only one reviewer ticket, and where appropriate one photographer pass, will be allocated to approved outlets (i.e. no +1!). In cases where there are multiple requests, we will revert to the editor for clarification.

ACCESSIBILITY AT THE FESTIVAL
- Does Laneway Festival have accessible facilities?
Yes, Laneway Festival Melbourne is an accessible site, please note there are different surfaces on site including grass, concrete, cobbled stone and gravel. There are some uneven surfaces and slopes in different areas, however all stages are accessible by wheelchair. Accessible toilet facilities are available on site. - Does Laneway Festival accept Companion Cards?
Yes we do. If you have an approved companion card you will need to fill out this form and one of our friendly Ticketek staff will give you a call to process your request before sending through your ticket.
- I'd like to apply to have my market stall at Laneway Festival, who should I email?
Market stall applications will open in October.
