We got a little taste of what to expect when they followed up the release of the record Jump Rope Gazers – the one that was described as showcasing "Beatles-level melodic smarts" – with the live album, Auckland, New Zealand, 2020. After stunning us all with that preview, the internationally beloved four-piece dropped Expert In A Dying Field. Added to all the same noisy, cerebral indie-rock we'd come to love already was an electric shock of new confidence. This is a record meant to be experienced live. We gratefully accept.
