- When do tickets go on sale?
Pre-sale is available Tuesday 27th September from 11am until 9am on Wednesday 28th September (local time).
General on-sale is 9am local time on Thursday 29th September, 2022.
- How do I purchase a ticket?
Tickets will be available for purchase from the Ticketek website, or Ticketek App. Download the app in advance for easy access to your tickets on the day.
- How much are tickets?
Ticketing information will be released with the Laneway Festival line-up announcement. Sign up to our mailing list to be the first to know.
- I need to contact someone about ticketing

- Is there a limit to how many tickets I can buy?
In the general onsale you can purchase up to 6 Festival tickets in the one transaction.
- Ticket scalping
Ticketek is the only online authorised ticket seller for Laneway Festival.
Laneway Festival takes no responsibility for tickets purchased through unauthorised sellers/reseller facilities.
- Can I buy a ticket listed online from another source?
Do not buy tickets from an unknown source; there is no way to be sure that it is a valid ticket. We will be scanning all tickets on arrival and you will not be granted entrance if the barcode has already been scanned or your ticket has been altered.
- Are there any payment plans?
Payment can be made by Afterpay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Diners Club.
- I haven't received my confirmation email

- Do I need to create an account to purchase tickets?
To purchase tickets, you can create/sign in using a Ticketek account. It's a super quick process!
Alternatively, if you already have a Ticketek account, we suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketek account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords, delivery address and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order. Head to Ticketek now and log in to your account to get started.
- Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?
If you don't want to miss out on Laneway Festival, make sure you purchase your ticket online prior to the event.
- Can I purchase tickets at a reduced price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?
Tickets are sold at full price regardless of the time you arrive on event day, unless sold out prior.
- What happens if I lose my ticket?
Tickets purchased from a retail outlet cannot be replaced if lost, please treat them like cash. Tickets purchased via the Ticketek app or online will be available to view within your Ticketek account and cannot be lost. If you have any issues accessing your ticket, please email [email protected]

- Is Laneway Festival 18+?
Yes, Laneway Festival Auckland is strictly an over 18's event. Patrons must present valid photo ID in order to enter Laneway Festival Auckland. Accepted ID for 18+ patrons attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland will be as follows:
1. Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence with photograph; or
2. Passport; or
3. Current HANZ 18+ Card
Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.
The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities.
AT THE FESTIVAL
- Will Pass Outs be available on the day?
Pass Outs refer to leaving the festival throughout the day, then returning at a later time.
Specific details with regards to Pass Outs will be published prior to the festival.
- When do the festival gates open and close?
Gates open at 11.30am with the event finishing at 10.30pm
- What happens if it rains on the day?
Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow, unless the event site is deemed unsafe by the relevant authorities.
- Can I bring my own alcohol into the festival?
No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival.
- Can I go bare foot?
No, shoes are necessary - jandals are fine but we highly recommend enclosed footwear as it is a long day.
- Where do I report any lost or found articles?
Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff.
Lost: If you misplace something please check with the info / cloak room on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please email [email protected] and we will do our very best to help you.
- Does Laneway Festival have accessible facilities?
Yes, Albert Park has full wheelchair access, surfaces include roadways with tar sealed concrete and cobbled areas. Please email [email protected] with the subject line 'Accessibility' if you would like any further information about access or facilities on the day.
Sale of Alcohol Conditions
- Are there any special conditions?
The Laneway Festival has been granted a special licence to serve alcohol. The whole of the site has been designated a restricted area where no minors will be permitted. This is an R18 event so evidence of age will only be accepted by NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence or HANZ 18+ card. The license requires certain conditions to be adhered to, which includes:
All alcohol must be decanted - there will be no service of any bottles or cans over the bars.
Alcohol service to cease no later than 9.30pm.
Free water will be available at designated free water stations and at available drinking fountains around the site.
Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to enter the Laneway Festival Auckland site.

✘ Anything studded or spiked (belts, wristbands, etc) or large chains
✘ Club patches and jackets
✘ Weapons of any kind (including potential missiles)
✘ Flares, Fireworks or Sparklers
✘ Sound or video recorders or professional cameras (with removable lens)(small still cameras are allowed)
✘ Laser lights or laser pens
✘ Umbrellas (bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
✘ Water pistols
✘ Dogs or other pets (service dogs excepted)
✘ Fires and open flames of any kind
✘ Sound Systems
✘ Eskies, coolers or chilly bins
✘ Culturally insensitive items
✘ Any other items deemed dangerous or potentially disruptive by Laneway in its discretion
- What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?
No professional cameras (read: cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival.

Applications for accreditation will open on 22 September and will close 1 December. Apply by emailing [email protected]
Media tickets are limited to those who can provide significant pre- and post-event coverage and we advise you to purchase a ticket if you don't want to miss out.
Only one reviewer ticket, and where appropriate one photographer pass, will be allocated to approved outlets (i.e. no +1!). In cases where there are multiple requests, we will revert to the editor for clarification.
