- Will tickets be available at the gate on the day?
If you don't want to miss out on Laneway Festival, make sure you purchase your ticket online prior to the event.

- Can I purchase tickets at a reduced price if I come midway through the event, if tickets are still available?
Tickets are sold at full price regardless of the time you arrive on event day.
- Is Laneway Festival 18+?
Yes, Laneway Festival Auckland is strictly an over 18's event. Patrons must present valid photo ID in order to enter Laneway Festival Auckland. Accepted ID for 18+ patrons attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland will be as follows:
1. Current New Zealand Driver’s Licence with photograph; or
2. Passport; or
3. Current HANZ 18+ Card
Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.
The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending St Jerome’s Laneway Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities.
- Will Pass Outs be available on the day?
There are no Pass Outs on the day. If you choose to leave the Festival at any point, you will not be admitted back in. There will be more than enough food, drinks, amenities and of course, music to keep going all day.
AT THE FESTIVAL
- When do the festival gates open and close?
Gates open at 11.30am with the event finishing at 10.30pm.
- What happens if it rains on the day?
Laneway Festival will go ahead rain, hail or snow.
- Can I bring my own alcohol into the festival?
No. Laneway Festival is licensed to sell food & drinks and provides great, well-stocked bars. All bags are searched on arrival. Any alcohol found will be confiscated.
- Can I go bare foot?
Sorry guys, shoe wear is necessary - thongs and sandals are fine but we highly recommend enclosed footwear as it is a long day.
- Where do I report any lost or found articles?
Found: Please take any found items to Festival staff or hand them in at the Information Booth.
Lost: If you misplace something please check with Information Booth staff on the day as things will be turned in there. Alternatively, please email [email protected] and we will do our very best to help you.
- Does Laneway Festival have disabled access & facilities?
Yes, Albert Park has full wheelchair access, surfaces include roadways with tar sealed concrete and cobbled areas.
- Does Laneway Festival accept Companion Cards?
Yes we do. If you have an approved carer card you will need to purchase a ticket and then email through the details to [email protected]. Please include details of the carer card and who the nominated carer will be. The carer's ticket will be available for collection onsite at guest services upon presentation of the carer card.
Sale of Alcohol Conditions
- Can I drink Alcohol at Laneway Festival?
The Laneway Festival has been granted a special licence to serve alcohol. The whole of the site has been designated a restricted area where no minors will be permitted. This is an R18 event so evidence of age will only be accepted by NZ or foreign passport, NZ driver’s licence or HANZ 18+ card. The license requires certain conditions to be adhered to, which includes:
No BYO liquor to the Festival site.
There will be no service of any bottles over the bars
Alcohol service to cease no later than 9.30pm
Free water will be available at designated free water stations and at available drinking fountains on the site Please bring your own drinking vessel (empty) to help reduce our rubbish volume.
- Are there any special conditions?
No intoxicated persons will be allowed entry to the Festival site. Intoxicated persons will not be served at the bars.
Intoxicated persons will be required to leave the Festival site. There are no refunds for those evicted because of intoxication.
- Will there be a token system?
No. Laneway will host cash bar sales in 2020. Cash, eftpos, Visa and Mastercard accepted.

The following items are prohibited:
✘ Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, bicycles
✘ Milk or bread crates or metal cans or containers
✘ Chairs (folding, portable, camping) or any other furniture
✘ Anything studded or spiked (belts, wristbands, etc) or large chains
✘ OMCD Club patches and jackets
✘ Weapons of any kind (including potential missiles)
✘ Flares, Fireworks or Sparklers
✘ Sound or video recorders or professional cameras (with removable lens) (small still cameras are allowed)
✘ Laser lights or laser pens
✘ Umbrellas (including small, fold up umbrellas - bring a plastic poncho or raincoat instead)
✘ Water pistols
✘ Dogs or other pets (service dogs excepted)
✘ Fires and open flames of any kind
✘ Sound Systems
✘ Eskies, coolers or chilly bins
✘ Any other items deemed dangerous or potentially disruptive by Laneway in its discretion
- What kind of cameras & recording devices can I bring with me?
No professional cameras (read: cameras with detachable lenses) are permitted without formal media accreditation. Likewise no audio or film recording equipment can be brought into the Festival.
- Media Requests:
Applications for accreditation will open on 14 September and will close 28 November.
Given the small size of the event, media tickets are extremely limited (particularly in Sydney and Melbourne) and we advise you to purchase a ticket if you don't want to miss out.
Only one reviewer ticket, and where appropriate one photographer pass, will be allocated to approved outlets (i.e. no plus +1!). In cases where there are multiple requests, we will revert to the editor for clarification.
Please note we can not accommodate students or freelancers.

ACCESSIBILITY AT THE FESTIVAL
- What if I require a carer/companion to assist me at the festival?
The person with an approved carer card will need to purchases a ticket. Once the ticket has been purchased they will need to send details of the ticket purchase to [email protected] with the details of their carer card and who the nominated carer will be. The carer's ticket will be available for collection onsite at guest services upon presentation of the carer card. Requests must be made PRIOR to the event date.
