Laneway Gets Pumped For Perth & Adelaide This Weekend
We don't want to tempt fate and call the 2011 Laneway Festival the best ever before it's even finished...but it kind of is. You can check out wraps of the Singapore, Brisbane, Melbourne andSydney events for evidence. Also, please check out Daniel Boud's gorgeous photo blog while you're at it.
The Laneway train continues when we hit Adelaide tomorrow. The event is so close to selling out we can't even tell you (at last count there was less than 50 tickets left). Map and playing timeshere.
We are very pleased to present a special Indie Cinema session featuring some special docos about some of our favourite artists, including the acclaimed Banksy feature Exit Through The Gift Shop and the an awesome documentary on Laneway alumni Feist.
The Feist documentary, Look At What The Light Did Now, documents the journey of Feist’s Grammy nominated album The Reminder. This poetic film pulls back the curtain to reveal intimate partnerships with the people Feist calls her ‘amplifiers’. The film follows Feist and her supporting cast through an impressionistic array of flickering scenery, echoing stadiums, puppet workshops, the red carpet, a crumbling French mansion, definitive concert performances and uncommonly candid interviews.
