Movement / Ghostly Stage
The Movement Stage presented by Ghostly International – featuring one of the world's most progressive electronic music festivals and a fiercely independent record label with an irreverent roster – will showcase five new acts added to the Laneway Festival Detroit line-up: MATTHEW DEAR, ADULT., SHIGETO, HEATHERED PEARLS and BEACON.
Danny Rogers, who co-founded the Laneway Festival with Jerome Borazio in partnership with Chugg Entertainment in Melbourne, Australia in 2004, called the Movement and Ghostly collaboration “the beginning of a brilliant and truly unique association.”
“It’s an honor to collaborate with two of Detroit’s musical renegades,” said Rogers about meeting the Movement team with Borazio on their first trip to Detroit over a year ago. “We’ve hoped to make a special splash with these cats ever since.”
“We are thrilled to be a part of this event and look forward to collaborating with Ghostly’s talent on an energizing showcase,” said Jason Huvaere, President of Paxahau, producers of the annual Movement Electronic Music Festival.
"Ghostly is honored to be a part of one of the best festivals in existence today,” said Jeff Owens, Ghostly International/Spectral label manager. “We're especially excited it now exists in a city that heavily influenced the sound and feel of Ghostly."
